Cronut Hole Concrete Day at the Madison Square Park Shack was absolutely cro-NUTS!  On Tuesday morning the line started to form at 4:00am, and by the time the Shack opened at 10:00am (an hour earlier than normal), there were approximately 350 guests lined up and ready to sink their teeth into one of the special edition Cronut® Hole Concretes. The epic line was a thing of beauty as it snaked around the entire Shack, from the order window all the way to the park entrance at 24th and Madison.
The first 100 guests received a free “I was there!” t-shirt to commemorate the day.  We had guests join us from far and wide, including one dedicated fan who drove through the night all the way from Ohio to make sure she got a good spot in line and one of our collaborative sweet treats.
When it was all said and done, we sold 1,187 Cronut® Hole Concretes which works out to $5,341.  All the money raised will be donated to the NYC Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association (PBA) Widows and Children’s Fund, as well as the Madison Square Park Conservancy.
