On June 30th, Chef Dominique Ansel spoke to the winners and nominees of the 2014 Fancy Food Show to award them with the “Oscars” of the packaged and specialty food industry, the Sofi Awards. “Ideas are like things, you can’t keep them forever,” says the chef who chatted with the crowd on his stories growing up, the craziness behind the Cronut® pastry, and where to find inspiration. He ended his speech with: “Next year, I hope to see you all back with better ideas.”
